A collaborative effort between Multicultural Academic & Support Services and Transfer and Transition Services. Transferring into Professional Success, TiPS, seeks to create an exclusive professional development environment for Multicultural transfer students which fosters key transferable career skills as well as abilities that will allow for optimum marketability.

Spring Program Development:

Transfer Leaders will develop programming for the greater UCF transfer student population utilizing the skills that were acquired during the fall semester. In addition to supporting the needs of events and activities for both the MASS and TTS offices, Transfer Leaders will be expected to develop individual programming that encourages professional and career development.

Potential Tasks:

• Develop schedule of monthly planning meetings for TIPS Transfer Leaders

• Provide planning support for TTS and MASS Spring events/activities

• Create marketing materials for TIPS

• Create, promote and facilitate at least two professional development experiences for transfer students

• Create a flyer with events scheduled for the semester

• Create and maintain a transfer student newsletter “Transfer Times”

• Keep accurate records of all meetings and events

• Plan and be responsible for all retreats and additional training of the Transfer Leaders

• Create and maintain a scrapbook of activities

• Create a table display to be used at information tables for orientation or other fair-like events when needed

• Help with development of recruitment strategies for following year Transfer Leaders
