Transfer Leaders:
In order to help the greater Multicultural transfer student population at UCF advance with professional and career development, the TIPS program will seek six transfer students for leadership positions. These selected Transfer Leaders will go through an intensive semester long training that will be based on key employer desires such as professional communication, intercultural competency, leadership enhancement, technology proficiency, organization and management understanding and skilled social interaction.
The second semester of the TIPS program will encourage the Transfer Leaders to apply their training from the fall and develop professional and career focused programing for the general transfer student population. This will allow the students to get real-world, hands-on experience when it comes to project management, networking and marketing. This semester plan seeks to have Transfer Leaders build connections to the UCF community while enhancing their own university experiences.
Fall Professional Training:
Once selected, Transfer Leaders will be expected to participate in the below potential trainings:
Virtual Leadership Academy
Your Brand
How to Refine Your Elevator Speech
Professional Communication Essentials
The Leadership Resume
Diversity for Leaders

Technology Fundamentals
Additionally, Transfer Leaders will commit a minimal amount of weekly office hours, provide event support, and complete a semester newletter on professional development. Transfer Leaders will be assessed on their competency for each of the above requirements and will need to have a satisfactory review in order to qualify for the semester stipend of $250.00.
Spring Program Development
Transfer Leaders will develop programming for the greater UCF transfer student population utilizing the skills that were acquired during the fall semester. In addition to supporting the needs of events and activities for both the MASS and TTS offices, Transfer Leaders will be expected to develop individual programming that encourages professional and career development.
Transfer Leaders will create, promote and facilitate their own programming and have attendees be assessed to evaluate the professionalism and success of the activities. Based on the performance and commitment for the spring semester, each Transfer Leader will be eligible to receive an additional stipend for $250.00.
